REV. DANIEL M. JACKSON SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Daniel Jackson was born February 26, 1986, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was raised and educated in the Philadelphia Charter School System. While in school, Reverend Jackson excelled academically and athletically.

Pastor Jackson is employed by the Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School. He serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and was the Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball Team (The Mighty Elephants) for 14 years until his early retirement to focus on his Pastoral Journey. The two positions gave him the opportunity to fulfill similar goals that are intrinsic in his ministry (helping youth to develop leadership and citizenship skills). It also gives him the opportunity to work with students from 1st through 12th grade.

Under his leadership, The Boys Varsity Basketball Team won the PIAA Basketball State Championship in 2011.  The team was featured in several Philadelphia Daily News and Philadelphia Inquirer news articles.  Coach Jackson was also highlighted for being the youngest coach in the state of Pennsylvania to win a state championship. Being recognized as Press Coach of the Year in 2011 motivated Coach Jackson even more to guide his team to seek another championship.  As a result, The Mighty Elephants were finalists in the 2014 and 2016 State Championship. In addition, several of the basketball players have graduated and received full scholarships to division one colleges, which is a reflection of Coach Jackson’s skill-development abilities.

Pastor Jackson began attending the Berean Baptist church, where he accepted Christ at an early age.  While there, he was groomed and prepared for ministry under the leadership of the late Pastor A.W. Dock. In March 2007, he was called into the gospel ministry.  In 2009, he was led to the St. Paul Chapel Baptist Church, where he was appointed as Youth Minister. As the Youth Minister there, he grew spiritually under the leadership of Pastor Jermaine T. Heath. In that same year, he was the recipient of the Young African American Men on the Move Award. It was God’s will to lead him to The New Kingdom Baptist Church (NKBC) as Executive Minister in 2012 to serve under the leadership of Pastor Kristopher S. Reese. Rev. Jackson immediately began diligently working in his new church home and in March 2014, he was ordained and became the Assistant Pastor of the New Kingdom Baptist Church.

Pastor Jackson continues to be faithful to his assignment at NKBC and the LORD elevated him to become the youngest Senior Pastor in the church’s history.  Pastor Jackson served as the President of the Young Pastor Division for the Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association (PEKBA) 2015 -2019.

Pastor Jackson has a sincere love for God and young people. He strives to carry out God’s mission to win and save souls. He is very excited about what God is doing in the lives of young people, and he believes God has called him to mentor youth and tell them about the goodness of the Lord.  As a result, he is often invited to preach at youth conferences, revivals and church services.

Pastor Jackson is a motivated individual that strives for excellence. His passion for life is amazing, which shows through his love for God and for people. His life reflects his favorite bible verse, 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”
